Ing. Norbert Hans Mitteregger founded his first IT company called SEM. After his initial training as a viticulture specialist in Silberberg and subsequent attendance at BULME Graz (Department of Electrical Engineering), he fully dedicated himself to software development.
Independent Management

Norbert Mitteregger takes over the sole management of the company and continuously expands the portfolio in the field of custom software solutions.

# Rubber Ducks # Duck Family #
Rubber Duck Debugging (engl. Rubber Ducking) refers to a method for finding errors (bugs) in computer programs. The name refers to a story in the book "The Pragmatic Programmer" (engl. The Pragmatic Programmer by Andrew Hunt), where a software developer carries around a rubber duck and explains the program code to it. He describes each individual line in the code to this duck with the goal of discovering and eliminating any potential errors. The advantage of this problem-solving strategy is, on one hand, that no one else needs to be disturbed, and on the other hand, the storyteller gains a different perspective and can identify potential sources of errors.
As different as the sectors we operate in are, so different is the language in these areas. Without a common language, faulty communication is pre-programmed in every process; for us, not only is IT technical expertise important, but we also want to understand our customers. To visually represent this guiding principle and with a little wink, a local artist has created a duck for each of our sectors.

„Ich bin 1972 in Graz geboren. Nach meiner Ausbildung zum Weinbaufachmann in Silberberg besuchte ich in Graz die Abendschule der Bulme Zweig Elektrotechnik. Meine Leidenschaft zur Software Entwicklung motivierte mich zum Schritt ein eigenes Unternehmen aufzubauen. 1996 gründete ich meine erste Firma namens SEM. Im Jahr 2008 wurde daraus die SEMmed GmbH die im Jahre 2010 zur EsCulenta GmbH umfirmiert wurde (esculenta bedeutet „genießbar“). Seit 2012 bin ich alleiniger Geschäftsführer unseres Unternehmens. Der Reiz der unendlichen digitalen Möglichkeiten motiviert mich täglich meine Arbeit voranzutreiben und weitere digitale Lösungen zur Erleichterung unserer Arbeit zu entwickeln.

Seit 2012 organisiere ich als Büromanagerin der EsCulenta GmbH den gesamten Büroablauf, koordiniere Personalprozesse und betreue das BGF-Projekt zur Gesundheitsförderung. Meine Aufgabe ist es, interne Projekte zu steuern, Abteilungen zu vernetzen und ein positives Arbeitsklima zu fördern. Mit meiner Erfahrung und meinen vielseitigen Kompetenzen unterstütze ich die Geschäftsführung und sorge für eine effiziente Büroorganisation.“
